Microsoft pushed out an Xbox One controller update in March to prepare for the launch of Titanfall and the company will roll out yet another update for the controller sometime soon, new reports have claimed.
According to a post on NeoGAF the upcoming patch for Xbox One, which is currently under testing, will bring with it a ‘new controller firmware’.
The post doesn’t reveal whether the update will be optional or mandatory, but it does note that the update will help address controller disconnect and headset adapter audio quality issues.
The patch will also reportedly bring with it fix to audio crackling sound when Dolby Digital is enabled; fixes for Blu-ray software issues that can result in 0x21 or 0x87de07d1 errors; updates to reduce or eliminate Blu-ray drive “seeking” sounds; fix for LiveTV audio outputting in stereo instead of surround sound; update to fix an issue where fast forwarding or rewinding an external video source results into screen freezing; fix for video playback stuttering while audio plays back among other things.
Some of the new features will include ability to install updates manually; ability to automatically redeem a license code from console messages; 50Hz Blu-ray player support for content recorded at 50Hz; improved GameDVR video quality; online friends notification among other things.
