New leaks and subsequent confirmation reports indicate that Microsoft is prepping for a public launch of White Xbox One, but sometime near the end of the year probably in October alongside the slated release of Sunset Overdrive.
The leak first cropped up on NeoGaf Forums that claimed that Redmond is planning to release White Xbox One consoles – the same consoles, which were allegedly given to Microsoft Xbox team as a gift as early as November 2013. The post on NeoGaf doesn’t contain much information except for a three word sentence “White Xbone incoming.”
The Verge later confirmed the news stating that its sources also claimed that Microsoft was planning to release a White Xbox One in October and a 1TB variant of the gaming console in November. This particular version will not have a Blu-ray drive as Redmond wants to keep the cost low to appeal to those users who may find the price tag a little too much for their pockets.

Microsoft has sold over 3.9 million units of Xbox One by December 2013 and with launch slated in additional 28 countries during 2014, Redmond may garner sales in tune of at least an additional couple of million units.
