Sky is offering a new deal, dubbed Sky Fibre, which it claims is the cheapest fibre broadband deal available in the market.
Under the new plan, Sky will offer users superfast fibre broadband for a mere monthly fee of £10. Sky Fibre Unlimited and Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro are Sky’s existing unlimited fibre options available for a monthly fee of £20 and £30 respectively.
Sky Fibre is promising speeds of up to 38Mbps, but it should be noted that the plan isn’t unlimited, it comes with a 25GB per month usage cap. The new deal is geared towards users who are looking for superfast browsing but at the same time do not consume a lot of data. Users who sign up for Sky Fibre plan will also get access to Sky Broadband Shield security product at no extra cost.
Lyssa McGowan, Director of Sky Broadband, said “We’re always looking to give customers even more reasons to choose Sky.”
“Sky Fibre means we can now offer superfast speeds for just £10 a month – the lowest standard price in the UK,” she added.
“It’s perfect for those who want to try fibre for the first time.”
In addition to the £10 monthly fee, there are also some extra fees to be paid including a £16.40 line rental charge, £30 one-off installation fee and £6.95 router delivery. The contract will be valid for 18 months.
