Samsung has launched Galaxy Apps Store – a rebranded version of its Samsung Apps Store – that will feature apps exclusively built for Galaxy range of devices from the South Korean consumer electronics giant.
According to Samsung the new Galaxy Apps Store features hundreds of apps exclusively available to its customers owning Galaxy range of devices.
Samsung pegs its latest app store as an improved version of its predecessor that will not only act as an app store, but will also double up as a platform on which it will offer promotions and discounts.
The new app store will features three sections, Best Picks, Top, and For Galaxy. As the name suggests, Best Picks will allow users to quickly sift through recommended apps and promotions, while Top will list all those apps that have been downloaded the most.
For Galaxy tab has four sub-sections including Galaxy Gifts, Galaxy Essentials, Apps for Professionals and Galaxy Specials.
The rebranded version of the app store is already available globally, but there is not clarity on why was as rebranding required on the first place and what is Google’s stand on this particular development.
