Sony is set to roll out its game-streaming service PlayStation Now to a select few Sony 4K Ultra HD TV and 1080p HD TV owners in the US starting June 30 as a part of the Private Pilot Service.
Those few lucky ones will be able to test out PlayStation Now game-streaming by playing PlayStation 3 games on their TV sets without requiring a console. Users will however require DualShock 3 controllers and a descent broadband connection to play the games.
Sony has already confirmed that PlayStation Now will be available in open beta on PS4 starting July 31 in the US followed by PS3 and PS Vita soon after.
During the beta period players will be able to play titles including Dead Space 3, God of War: Ascesion, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Ultra Street Fighter 4 and Ratchet & Clank: Into notes CVG.
Users will be able to rent the titles for one, seven or 30 days and those looking for full access to streaming library may also opt for one of the yet to be announced subscription option.
There is no word on PS Now European launch and it is likely that the service will hit the region on first quarter of 2015.
