Oppo Electronics Corp has launched two new mid-range smartphones dubbed Oppo N1 Mini and Oppo R3 at a press event held in China.
The Oppo N1 Mini is a single-SIM smartphone featuring a 5-inch 1,280 x 720p HD display. Powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, the N1 Mini runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and packs Adreno 305 GPU coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2,140 mAh battery with the company’s custom skin, ColorOS 1.4, on top of it.
The USP of the handset is its 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 sensor rotating camera with LED flash, that rotates to face the front or back of the device.
The N1 Mini supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE and 3G connectivity options. The device measures 9.2mm in terms of thickness and weighs 150 grams.
The handset will go on sale in China starting next week for 2,699 Yuan in White, Blue and Yellow colour options.
Coming to the Oppo R3, the handset measures only 6.3 mm in thickness and is claimed to be as “the world’s thinnest 4G handset.” The single-SIM smartphone features a 5-inch, 1,280 x 720p HD display, a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, a 2420mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage further expandable via microSD card.
There’s also an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera onboard. The R3 supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, LTE and 3G connectivity options. The Oppo R3 will be made available in China sometime later this month for 2,299 Yuan in Black and White colour options.
