UK pricing details for the new Nexus 9, which was recently unveiled by tech giant Google alongside the Nexus 6 and the Nexus Player, are finally out.
Online retailer Amazon UK has been spotted listing the 8.9-inch HTC-made tablet with a starting price tag of £319 (approx. $513) for the 16GB variant. There’s also a 32GB Wi-Fi model and a 32GB Wi-Fi + LTE model tagged for £399 (approx. $642) and £459 (approx. $738) respectively.
Available for pre-order in the Indigo Black and Lunar White color options, the three models will go on sale starting November 3. It’s unclear when the third, “sand” color will make its way to the UK.
Google is also accepting Nexus 9 pre-orders on the Play Store offered at the same prices with shipments expected to leave warehouses “in 2 – 3 weeks.”
Powered by an Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset clocked with a 2.3 GHz dual-core CPU, the HTC-made Nexus 9 features a 8.9-inch display boasting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB of internal storage on board, a 6,700 mAh battery, an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 1.6 MP front snapper and a pair of front-facing speakers. The tablet will run Google’s latest mobile software iteration dubbed Android L.
Unfortunately, Nexus 9 does not support for a microSD card slot which means user won’t be able to add additional memory storage to the device.
The device comes with a two position keyboard folio case which attaches magnetically to the tablet to offer improved typing. The new Nexus 9 is also the first Android device to come equipped with a 64-bit hardware and software.
