Xbox One users can share their most exciting game play clips with their friends using Xbox One’s Upload Studio, but users should ensure that their video clip recordings are not loaded with excessive profanity as they may have to face consequences.
Microsoft has recently been temporarily banning select gamers after they allegedly uploaded videos loaded with “excessive” foul language created with Upload Studio, reported the Verge. The temporary punishments can range from an Xbox Live ban to restricting users from using the Upload Studio function and their Kinect cameras.
However several users have posted complaints on Reddit and other websites that the Upload Studio isn’t explicitly mentioned anywhere in the Xbox Live Code of Conduct.
Microsoft has further clarified that these videos do not comply with the code of conduct for its Xbox Live service and has issued an official statement, “We take code of conduct moderation via Upload Studio very seriously. We want a clean, safe, and fun environment for all users. Excessive profanity as well as other code of conduct violations will be enforced upon and result in suspension of some or all privileges on Xbox Live.”
Microsoft ensures that it wants to have “a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience” for all the Xbox users of the service. Xbox One’s Upload Studio allows users to record their gaming clips with Xbox One’s Game DVR and then share the videos using their personal SkyDrive account. Microsoft has already said that only videos “without restrictions or limitations” will be allowed to the users for sharing purpose.
