Microsoft has launched Digital Gift Cards app for Windows Phone devices making available a new gifting option for those who can’t decide on what to give to their friends and family for Christmas.
Using the Digital Gift Cards app, users can buy and share gift cards right from the comfort of your Windows Phone. The great thing about the gift cards is that they are not limited to Windows Phone purchases only thereby providing users with a great range of apps, games, movies and music to choose from Xbox and Windows stores as well.
“Digital gift cards can be used to purchase apps, games, music, movies, and TV shows at the Xbox, Windows, and other select Microsoft online stores”, notes Microsoft.
The Digital Gift Cards are emailed as soon as the payment is done with users having the easy option of deciding who the gift card is for through their contact list.
A couple of features as listed by Microsoft include: “The perfect “add-on” for family and friends receiving an Xbox or Windows device” and ability to send the gift card right away or on a selected future date making it easy as well as an ideal option for those who can’t find time to run around stores to find that perfect gift for their loved ones.
