Indian handset maker, Maxx Mobile, has recently announced launch of 26 new mobile phones including 19 feature phones and 7 Android smartphones celebrating the 64th Republic Day of India on January 26.
The new range of handsets has been priced between Rs. 1,100 (£11) and Rs. 7,777 (£80) making them fit for every Indian’s pocket. With this launch, the total number of new handsets launched by Maxx Mobile during FY 2013-2014 has reached to 105, with 75 feature phones, 28 android phones and two tablets.
Though specific details of the newly launched handset are yet to be disclosed, the seven Android smartphones out of the total 26 viz, AX44, AX 45, AX5i, MSD7 Smarty II, AX06, AX409 and AX04, are running Andoid OS Gingerbread and Jelly Bean, and equipped with 256 MB to 512 MB RAM, up to 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and up to 1600 mHA battery. The company hasn’t detailed anything about the processors or any other internals.
The other 19 models in the 1.8-inch to 2.8-inch segments including, MX180, MX422, MX187, MX12, MX444, MX105, MX125, MX553, MX472, MX168, MX467, MX445, MX11, MX103, MX254, MX255, MX433, MX442 and MT352 that are feature phones with dual SIM capabilities, along with long lasting battery life. The company claims that these handsets come with security features such as anti-theft and privacy protection and expandable memory of up to 8GB.
Addressing the launch, Ajjay Agarwal, CMD & Founder, Maxx Mobile, said, “By offering the largest variety of handsets at varied price points, we want to connect every Indian to the mobile ecosystem, thus contribute to ‘mobile inclusion’.”
