Google has released an updated version of HP Chromebook 11 with a newly designed power adapter that is more or less similar to Chromebook Pixel’s power supply.
Google pulled back the original HP Chromebook 11 after it was found that power supply adapters were damaged because of overheating with some users even reporting that the power supply even melted. As soon as the reports surfaced, Google asked users to stop using the adapters and opt for power adapters from other vendors.
According to 9to5Google, the updated power adapter for the new Chromebook 11 is made by LITEON. The adapter sends out 5.25V of power to the Chromebook at 3.0A. The new charger is quite powerful than the average microUSB charger available in the market.
The updated Chromebook 11 and the adapters should start shipping out to retailers soon. Google Play Store has the new chargers listed as ‘coming soon’.
