Google has announced that it will pull Bump and Flock sharing apps on January 31 and both the apps will stop working starting that day.
Google acquired Bump back in September and at the time the search engine giant announced that the Bump team will continue their work and help people “share and interact with one another using mobile devices.”
Bump is a mobile app that allows users to share data like contacts by simply tapping their phones together. The developers also added a feature that allowed users to transfer photos from their phones to computer. Flock on the other hand is an app that automatically identifies and organizes photos taken with friends and family into a single album on each user’s phone and shares it with everyone.
In the latest announcement Google says that they have “decided to discontinue Bump and Flock.”
“On January 31, 2014, Bump and Flock will be removed from the App Store and Google Play. After this date, neither app will work, and all user data will be deleted”, adds Google.
