EA has confirmed its next in the Battlefield franchise – Battlefield Hardline – a game with cops vs. robbers theme and has revealed that more information about the game will be released during the E3 gaming conference next month.
“On behalf of everyone at EA and Visceral Games, I’m fired up to confirm our next project – Battlefield Hardline”, announced Steve Papoutsis Vice President and General Manager, Visceral Games.
“The game launches this fall and it’s a brand new series in the Battlefield franchise, set against the backdrop of a genre we all love – the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals.”
Before the confirmation from EA, details about the game emerged on the web with logo and artwork for the game appearing on EA’s servers. The details also included icons for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
EA has just confirmed the existence of the game and hasn’t really provided any other detail about the next in Battlefield lineup; however, the leaks indicate that the game will offer four soldier classes including Enforcer, Mechanic, Operator and Professional and new modes such as Blood Money, Bomb Squad and Carrier Assault.
Images of in-game equipment have also emerged which show off things such as blowtorches, grappling hooks, gas grenades, and gas masks among other things. Hints about in-game vehicles indicated presence of sports cars, helicopters, vans, police cruisers and motorcycles among other vehicles.
E3 is just around the corner and we are expecting a lot more details directly from EA and Visceral Games.
