Dropbox has updated its Android app bringing in features such as save to ‘SD Card’, faster searchers and support for Android L.
The decision to this affect comes after several requests were made by users. Save to ‘SD Card’ will make it possible for users to transfer content between devices and consequently enable its access even while the user is offline.
To save to SD card, select the file on the cloud, tap the ‘Quick Action’ button, then ‘More’ followed by ‘Export’ and finally ‘Save to Device’. This will store the content in the SD and you should be able to see it there.
“The latest release of Dropbox for Android, which also includes improved Android L support and faster search performance,” notes Scott Bezek and Harshjit Sethi in a blog post.
The update has already started rolling out, but it might not have hit devices globally yet. If you have an urgent need for this feature, you can head on to Google Play Store and install the latest version of Dropbox for Android and start using it instantly.
