CloudFlare is one of the best services in its category out there, but SSL issues have prevented users from accessing sites that avail services from the company.
A couple of sites that I regularly access as an editor are Feedly.com and news.ycombinator.com and both the sites are behaving abnormally since today morning. The culprit? Well it seems that it has to do with the SSL certificates and specifically universal SSL.
When trying to access through Google Chrome I am continuously greeted with privacy errors [screencap above], while both Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer are showing me certificate warnings because the domain name to which the certificate has been assigned isn’t matching the domain name of the sites.
There is no word from CloudFlare yet and their twitter stream doesn’t have any update on this regards. Let us know in the comments section if you are able to access it or if its region specific.
