Latest reports claim that Apple has scheduled iOS 7.1 update for launch in March.
The update is expected to bring with it performance improvements, bug fixes, user-interface tweaks, visual enhancements and a better version of the iOS Calendar app. Apple is expected to roll out this update during a press event some time next month which is rumoured to happen primarily for next-generation Apple TV.
With iOS 7.1 update, Apple is also rumored to launch its long-awaited iOS in the Car feature that allows the users to hook up their iDevices with enhanced iOS integration to the car systems for the alerts and notifications that will appear on car’s dashboard.
Earlier this week, the company released the fifth beta of the update to developers, making the timeframe till March reasonable. According to the report this update is not expected to have any secret feature, but will bring with it several changes to the OS including a new dialer, redesigned Caps Lock and Backspace keys, redesigned Music app, option to turn off Parallax effect with a new setting called perspective zoom that allows the folder animations to be turned on among other things.
The improvised Calendar app in iOS 7.1 gets a brand-new event list view using which users can quickly check out what’s coming up. This iOS 7.1 update is believed to bring fixes for several issues like 32-bit apps running on a 64-bit iPhone 5s, improvements to the iTunes Match library handling and some bugs regarding text rendering. Among the many bug fixes, users can look out for a fix that causes random iPhone reboots as Apple has previously reported to be working on that issue.
It is also said that Apple has plugged a couple of important security holes in iOS 7.1, which will make the current evasi0n jailbreak useless.
