Amazon has rolled out unlimited photo storage service for UK Prime Photos users promising secure storage, automatic photo upload, and anywhere, anytime access.
This means that UK users can now use Prime Photos to store as many photos on the Amazon Cloud Drive as they want. The unlimited photo storage service was launched in the US last week, and is now available to users in Europe.
“This is the season when families are capturing thousands of photos of Christmas gatherings, special outings and opening presents,” said Michael Pasch, director, Amazon Prime EU.
“Prime Photos will give our members the opportunity to save those special memories for free. With unlimited photo storage we’re providing Prime members in the UK another great way to save time and save money.”
Amazon Prime Photos is compatible across multiple devices and platforms, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Macs, PCs and Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and select LG
and Samsung smart TVs.
So to recap, the £79 ($99)-per-year Amazon Prime subscription, which currently offer users with access to the full Prime Video catalog, unlimited streaming music, the Kindle e-book lending library, early access to special discounts and free two-day shipping on over 20 million items on Amazon.com, unlimited music storage, will now also allow users to upload, share and access unlimited photos.
