Yota launched YotaPhone 2 – a slim, powerful, beautiful and world’s first “two-fronts” smartphone, during an event in London yesterday evening.
Yota CEO, Vlad Martynov describes YotaPhone 2 not just an integration of two displays on a smartphone, but believes that their “technology constitutes an entirely new species of mobile device” whereing “two screens work in harmony.”
Some of the key specifications of YotaPhone 2 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2 Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing 2-megapixel snapper, 4G/LTE, WiFi and Near Field Communications (NFC) connectivity among other things.
Some of the key software features of YotaPhone 2 include YotaEnergy, YotaMirror, YotaSnap and “Life after death”, and YotaCover.
As far as the availability of YotaPhone 2 is concerned, it is already on sale in 20 countries. It will cost 555 GBP in the UK and in the region of 700 EUROS elsewhere in Europe. You can either buy it online through www.yotaphone.com or through a variety of channel partners.
Yota also opened its first Yotaphone Store in London (off Brick Lane in Shoreditch) yesterday evening.
