The Russia-based smartphone maker Yota Devices is all set to unveil its second smartphone dubbed ‘Yotaphone 2’ this coming December 3.
The company confirmed the new YotaPhone 2 will get officially released in a special invite-only event to be held in London. The upcoming smartphone was first announced during the MWC event held at Barcelona in February this year.
The announcement was made through a post on Twitter which read “#YotaPhone2 will be presented December 3! We will celebrate with a by-invitation only event in London – stay tuned!.”
The next generation YotaPhone is expected to feature a 5-inch 1920×1080 AMOLED screen on one side and a 4.7-inch 960 x 540 e-ink panel on the other. The fully touch sensitive rear display will let users access various features such as calls, SMS, emails and so on.
Other features include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 32GB in-built storage, 2GB of RAM, wireless charging, NFC, 2,550 mAh battery and the latest Android version. There is a 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.
The YotaPhone 2 will also feature a Smart Power Mode feature that will lets user turn off the AMOLED screen and rely on the e-ink panel in order to extend the life of their device.
As per press details released earlier this year, the handset will be first launched in Russia, Europe and the Middle East. Pricing details of the new handset still remains undisclosed.
