Yahoo is ensuring that you don’t get wet or stranded in heavy snow with an update to its Weather app wherein it will alert you 15 minutes before rain or snow.
“Yahoo Weather, our beautiful and intuitive weather app, will alert you 15 minutes before rain or snow is expected so you can grab your jacket, boots and umbrella!” notes Yahoo in its Weather app description.
The new functionality in Yahoo Weather is more or less like what you might have seen in Dark Sky’s weather info. However, Yahoo doesn’t use barometric sensors in users’ iPhones to provide this type of alert.
Yahoo said that it has made its Weather app all the more accurate and to do that it has take some major steps to overhaul the way they determine and serve forecasts. What’s more? The app will even zoom in on microclimates, said Yahoo.
To get the features either update your existing app download it in the App Store or Play Store.
