Miami based smartphone maker Blu Life has recently unveiled its latest flagship device, the BLU Life PRO, which is world’s thinnest 5-inch smartphone.
Powered by a 1.5Ghz quad-core processor and featuring a 2,500mAh battery, the Life Pro packs a 5-inch IPS HD 720 x 1,280p resolution screen with 293 (pixels per inch) ppi, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras sporting a BSI sensor and video recording up to 1080p. The Life Pro has 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth connectivity options. The phone is just 6.9mm think.
However, the low cost smartphone lacks 4G LTE connectivity, meaning its owners will be “stuck” to HSPA+ speeds of up to 42Mbps and 3G connectivity. The smartphone product page reads “Amazing was built into every millimeter,” promising that the device “will allow you to be a pro at everything you do”.
CEO of Blu Products, Samual Ohev-Zion, said in a statement: “The Blu Life Pro is an accomplishment of engineering as much as one of design.”
“Every detail and material — particularly the sleek aluminum enclosure — has been meticulously considered and refined. It’s made with a level of precision you’d expect from a finely crafted watch, not a smartphone”, said Ohev-Zion
The company has already begun shipping the new smartphone to distributors and dealers throughout the United States, Brazil and Mexico. The unlocked version of the phone will retail for $299 without a contract via several US online retail partners including Amazon.com.
