Storage Solution vendor Western Digital on Thursday released My Cloud, a series of personal cloud storage solutions, in India.
WD’s personal cloud solutions product dubbed ‘My Cloud’ will enable users to access, organise, centralise and secure digital contents from anywhere in the world using their computers and mobile devices. In order to access data, users will just need to connect ‘My Cloud’ personal cloud drive to the internet without having to pay monthly fees or giving up control to their personal data.
Khalid Wani, WD’s sales director, branded products for India, Middle East and Africa, at a media conference said “With thousands of files spread across several different computing devices, digital chaos is a challenge that consumers face on a daily basis.”
“Consumers want access to all their data, all the time. WD’s My Cloud personal cloud storage is an easy-to-use, secure and cost effective storage solution that will empower consumers to live their digital lives without limits.”
Western Digital says My Cloud is compatible with Android and iOS devices, as well with Windows and Mac OS running desktops. Users can access My Cloud data through mobile apps for Android and iOS operating systems. My Cloud mobile app is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
While a 2 TB version of My Cloud will cost Rs 10,999, its 3TB and 4TB version will cost Rs 12,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. Apart from resellers and channel partners across India, My Cloud is currently available at Reliance Digital, Croma, Flipkart, and Amazon.
