Western Digital, on Thursday announced the launch of My Passport Pro drive, the first Thunderbolt powered dual-drive portable solution.
The new drive with user-selectable RAID functionality is suitable for creative graphics professionals and enthusiasts looking for high performance or consumers who need reliable mirroring.
Available in 2 TB and 4 TB capacities, the My Passport Pro, will come with a speed of 233 MB/s enabling fast transfers, edits and backup capabilities. The drive is directly powered via the integrated Thunderbolt cable and therefore requires no extra cables and no external power source. The drive comes with a pair of 2.5-inch hard drives inside an aluminum casing.

My Passport Pro is now available at major consumer electronics retailers as well as online at www.wdstore.co.uk. While the 2 TB My Passport Pro costs £239.00, the 4 TB model carries a price tag of £349.00.
