Twitter-owned Vine has announced full web profiles for all its users thereby taking the 6-second videos to the web and has also announced a new TV Mode enabling you to watch videos in full screen glory.
“Today, we’re introducing a new way to experience Vine: on the web”, announced Vine in a blog post.
Users will not only be able to view their videos online, but will also be able to interact with them by liking them, sharing them and commenting on them. The web based Vine doesn’t allow users to capture videos through their webcam yet; however, it does provide you with an easy way to access all your Vines.
“You can also visit your favorite users’ Vine profiles to browse the videos they’ve created since joining Vine. Plus, now you can share your profile with others so they can see your posts”, wrote Janessa Det, an engineer at Vine.
That’s not all as Vine has also added a new TV Mode that will automatically play all your videos one after the other. You can activate the TV Mode by pressing a button in the upper right corner of the screen.
Web based profiles were announced by Vine last year and it also offered users the chance to reserve their custom URLs.
