Vauxhall’s new 2015 supermini model Corsa, which will make its public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show this October, has been revealed with full specifications. Company will make its first deliveries in January 2015.
Corsa will be available in three and five door hatchback models powered by the petrol and diesel engines. Vauxhall also confirms that they will offer variant VXR hot hatch.
The new model is same as the previous Corsa, but has been improved upon things which were criticised previously such as the ride, handling and interior quality.
The interior space is the same and has the 285-liter boot. To improve handling company has provided new speed sensitive electric power steering system.
Company has blessed the car with the intelliLink so it can be connected to the Apple and Android smartphones and allows user to download sat-nav and internet radio apps.
Vauxhall’s small car brand manager, Ian Mitchell, confirmed premium features like daytime running lights, a heated windscreen and a city assist button will be standard across the range.
Options include a rear parking camera, plus a forward facing camera to allow traffic sign recognition, blind spot alert and autobrake. A full-length panoramic roof will also be offered.
Company has blessed the car with 1.0 three-cylinder ECOTEC engine. The turbo with direct ignition will give 89bhp or 113bhp producing the torque of 170Nm emitting 100g/km of CO2 with the new six speed manual including auto in option.
The entry-level engine will be a 69bhp 1.2-litre petrol, while turbo and non-turbo 1.4s offer 99bhp and 89bhp respectively. The 1.3 CDTi will continue with 74bhp or 94bhp. An ecoFLEX version will be available from launch, too, with target CO2 emissions of under 90g/km.
Prices, economy figures and details on the seven UK trim levels will be revealed in September, with first deliveries in January.
