A user manual of the upcoming VivoTab Note 8 was spotted on the web – all but confirming previous rumours about the existence and impending launch of the Windows 8 powered tablet.
November saw the tablet appear on FCC filing, while subsequent reports gave away the specifications of the tablet. The tablet is believed to be powered by an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 8-inch 1,280 x 800 IPS display, GPS, Wacom digitizer support, will feature in two storage sizes 32GB and 64GB, microSD card slot, front and rear cameras.
The FCC declaration of conformity on page 75 of the manual lists a total of 9 devices including M80T, L80T, R80T, M81T, L81T, R81T, M82T, L82T, and R82T. These device listings match the initial listing spotted on FCC indicating that Asus VivoTab Note 8 could be launched in Windows 8.1 / Android dual boot edition as well.
Asus VivoTab Note 8 may be launched at $300 or less and may be pitched directly against the Dell Venue 8 Pro; however, the former comes with a pen. It is highly likely that Asus will announce the tablet during CES 2014.
