Folks at Respawn would be one happy lot considering the launch of the Xbox 360 version of the game has not only helped the title reclaim top position in UK charts, it also instigated a 220 percent surge in sales week-on-week.
Titanfall for Xbox 360 has been received with same fervour as Titanfall for Xbox One with 71 percent of last week’s sales accounting for Xbox 360 version, 27 percent for Xbox One variant and the remaining 1 percent sales on PC.
Microsoft officials have been impressed with sales of the Xbox 360 version and company’s corporate vice president Phil Harrison said that the game was “blowing the doors off.”
Microsoft’s chief marketing officer Yusuf Mehdi previously claimed that Titanfall was a game changer and that the launch of the game was vital for Xbox One.
Retailers in the UK including Amazon reduced the prices of the Xbox One Titanfall bundle to just £349 – a move that would definitely have helped move huge number of units.
Just last week Respawn launched an update for the game with focus on Titanfall’s private match mode allowing players to efficiently organize matches with friends in tournament or casual play.
Respawn has announced Titanfall’s first DLC dubbed Expedition that will come with three new maps called “Runoff,” “Swamplands” and “Wargames.” The DLC will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in May.
