The new Tab 3 range of tablets from Samsung has hit just hit the stores as promised in their June 24 press release. The new tablet, in three different sizes, will hit eager consumers in a rapidly growing market. Samsung have stated that they are focused on offering a wide range of products in the tablet market.
The three new tablets are labeled the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, where the number at the end denotes the size of the screen. The pricing of each model increases with screen size, starting at $199 then to $299 and finally to $399 for the largest 10.1 inch screen.
Inside the processor runs the current, Android Jelly Bean, operating system that is proving to be very popular. The three size options combined with the Android OS and the fact that they are available at all of the major retailers, including Best Buy, Amazon.com, Wal-Mart and Office depot, will make this a very popular range for Samsung.
The decision by Samsung to offer the Galaxy Tab in a range of sizes reflects the trend picked up by many of the major manufacturers to ensure that they have a range of sizes and capabilities within their product line ups to suit a varied cross section of customer wants and needs.
It would seem that there is little point in having the best operating system, with the best screen resolution and the best build quality, if the tablet is not the size that the customer wants.
