The update release alongside the recent Patch Tuesday set of updates and we anticipate that it should hit Surface Pro 3 tablets before end of October.
Microsoft has released a set of updates to address the Wi-Fi stability bug – at least 4 times from what we can see on the update history page – but none of them have worked so far to completely eradicate the random disconnection issues.
The bug has been one of the most annoying bugs out there considering that Surface Pro 3 is currently Microsoft’s top-of-the-range tablet and costs as much as $1,950 in the US. The Surface Pro 3 packs a 12-inch screen, up to 8 GB RAM (based on the option you go for), several CPU options ranging between Intel Core i3 and i7, and a maximum of 512 GB of storage space.
