Sometimes it happens that you regret being unable to delete or take back a message right after sending it. Well now you won’t need to worry much as a new smartphone app will do the work for you.
Seattle-based startup Be Labs has announced it is done with the successful completion of beta testing for its new smartphone app, dubbed Strings, which will let users have total control over their conversation by giving them an option to delete the unwanted messages even after it has left their smartphone or tablet.
The new app will let users share information with whoever they want and even take it back, the company said. String combines granular control over who sees what with multi-conversation context and rich media to create a simple and intuitive way to have interactive, personal conversations.
The app also allows users to upload high quality media, including unlimited-length videos and high-resolution photos, into their conversations. Users can delete a string of conversation, add or remove people from the conversation, and decide if and when content is deleted at any time.
The app allows users to have multiple conversations with the same person on different subjects, due to each “string” being a unique conversation. Once deleted, the string and all its associated content will get “immediately and permanently” deleted from users’ phone as well as from the String’s servers.
It is to be noted that in order to take advantage of the new app features, both the sender and receiver must have the Strings app installed on their iPhones.
The free to use app is currently available for iOS devices, with an updated version scheduled to be released later in January.
