Sony has something new and stylish for selfie lovers! It’s the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 selfie camera resembling exactly a perfume bottle.
Sony, on Friday, unveiled its latest digital Cyber-shot camera that looks just like an oversized perfume bottle with a smartphone minus the rear camera as the body.
Dubbed as the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11, the new digital camera features a 19.2-megapixel 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor and an f/2 21mm wide-angle lens mounted on a 180-degree swivel to give “the illusion of a slender body and a slimmer face for convenient and easy selfie shots.”
The camera boasts a 3.3-inch OLED display, with a 1,299k dot resolution and an LED light flash that can be swiped with a thumb to activate the timer mode as well as Swarovksi crystal elements in its design. The device will also feature Wi-Fi and NFC (near field communication) connectivity to allow for transferring images to smartphones.
The Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 is touted to come with 4 shooting modes including Intelligent Auto, Scene Selection, Beauty Effect and Picture Effect. While the Beauty Effect mode will improve the appearance of skin tone and smoothness, “eye widening” and “face slimming” options will help in correcting photos.
Flick Touch Shutter is another new feature that lets users quickly set up a selfie-timer by tapping and flicking their finger towards the wanted delay timing (2, 5, and 10 seconds) and number of images on the screen.
The new selfie-dedicated camera with the dimensions of 57.7x125x20.1mm, weighs 136 grams with the battery and microSD card.
Available in white, pink, green or violet, the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 will ship in the Asia-Pacific region this October for about $811. However, there’s no word on the camera’s UK release yet.
