Sony has announced a six hour PlayStation Network (PSN) downtime on January 27 to perform some mandatory network maintenance.
For Europe the downtime is slated for 17:30 to 23:30 GMT and for North America the downtime is scheduled for 09:30 to 15:30 PT (12:00 to 18:30 ET). Users who have signed in since January 20 need not worry as they will be able to play their online games as well as access apps like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Crackle without any issues.
“The PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will not be available during this time, and users may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access these services”, notes community manager Paul Sullivan on PlayStation community forums.
