Sony’s PlayStation Now is finally going to head to the UK as early as this spring, the company has announced. PlayStation Now allows for streaming gaming content to consoles using remote servers thereby eliminating download wait times.
Sony has announced that they will open up a private beta trial of PS Now to UK gamers starting from spring this year. PS Plus subscribers will be given first priority to experience PS Now. They can register their interest to become a beta participant at www.playstation.com/psnow.
The console maker has confirmed that the beta will work on the PlayStation 4 only and will be free of charge during the initial trial stage. However, final version of PlayStation Now should also work on PlayStation 3, PS Vita, PlayStation TV, and certain Sony BRAVIA televisions.
The titles included in the private beta are Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, The Last of Us, God of War Ascension, Rayman Legends, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Saints Row: The Third – The Full Package, Just Cause 2, The Walking Dead and Dirt 3. Sony has promised to add more titles as the beta progresses.
