Sony is hosting a special event to mark the launch of its PlayStation 4 in UK and Europe on Thursday night at London’s Covent Garden where those without pre-orders will have a chance to get their hands onto a PlayStation 4 console.
Hosted in collaboration with GAME, Sony is hosting the event at the PS4 Lounge at 17 Bedford Street wherein all those who have queued up for a PlayStation 4 will also have a chance to witness live performance by UK rap sensation Tinie Tempah.
Gamers will be given PlayStation 4 consoles on first come first served basis and so both the companies are requesting customers to start queuing as early as Thursday morning. Pre-orders for the PlayStation 3 successors have all but dried up and this could be the only chance for gamers to get one before Christmas claims Sony.

Fergal Gara, MD and VP, Sony Computer Entertainment UK & Ireland said “Day one PS4 pre-orders sold out in record time and this could be the last chance for anyone who wants to get their hands on a console before Christmas.”
Sony has already sold over a million PlayStation 4 units on launch day in the US and Canada and chances are that the company will sing the same song with its launch in UK and Europe as well. Despite the huge demands, Sony has assured that the console will be in good supply throughout the holiday season. Sony is also expected to launch a PlayStation 4, PS Vita ‘Ultimate’ bundle before Christmas, so those looking to buy both the consoles should probably wait this one out.
