Samsung on Monday took the wraps off its new audio products range, including the WAM7500/6500 and an expanded lineup of Curved Soundbars, scheduled to be launched at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015 next week.
Samsung’s new concept speaker with 360-degree radius sound, dubbed the WAM7500/6500, will utilize the new “Ring Radiator” technology that the company says “allows sound to flow in a 360-degree radius, with the perfect balance between treble and bass.” The speakers have been developed at Samsung’s new audio lab in Valencia, California.
As per the press release, the Samsung WAM7500/6500 will be released in two models; Stand-type or Table Top (WAM7500) and Portable (WAM6500). While the Table Top Model comes with a stylish build paired with premium sound quality, the Portable model features a built-in battery to allow listeners to enjoy the best sound quality anywhere, anytime. Both models will seamlessly connect to TVs, soundbars and mobile devices, Samsung confirmed.
“We know how much people love music and that’s why we are expanding our portfolio to bring high-quality, wireless audio into the home,” said Jurack Chae, Senior Vice President at Samsung Electronics.
“With the new WAM7500/6500 people can enjoy a vibrant sound wherever they are, while our new Curved Soundbars perfectly complement the TV viewing experience.”
Meanwhile, Samsung said it is also planning to unveil the new 8500, 6500 and 6000 series of Curved Soundbars for its Curved TV lineup, from 45-inches to 78-inches. The company said that the upcoming 8500 series will offer enhanced sound quality with its 9.1 channel speakers, which includes a central speaker and additional side speakers on both ends.
There’s no word on pricing or availability of the devices at this point of time.
