Samsung has released a new teaser countdown video to mark its ‘Galaxy Premiere 2014’ event scheduled for next week.
The electronics giant had already announced officially about hosting an event at New York City in Madison Square Garden on 12 June at 7 p.m. EDT and now the new video trailer gives a sneak peek of an upcoming device expected to be unveiled at the event.
The 32-second video clip shows off a colourful five-second countdown with the words “Tab Into Color” printed on a large rectangular tablet device with curved edges. Although the video does not give much detail about the device’s specifications, it does offer details about the event’s venue, date and time.
The event is expected to mark the launch of the Galaxy Tab S slates rumoured to come in 8.4 and 10.5-inch sizes and include 2,560 x 1,600 resolution Super AMOLED displays. The upcoming range of tablets is said to come ship with Android’s latest KitKat OS, powered by the company’s in-house built Exynos 5420 series Octa-core processor alongside the Mali-T628 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The Samsung tablet is speculated to support a fingerprint sensor, ultra power-saving battery mode, download booster and two cameras – an 8.0-megapixel rear camera and a 2.0-megapixel front camera.
Samsung also said that it will be streaming the event live on its official website for the entire world to watch along.
