Samsung, which has always been on the forefront when it comes to innovation, is up with yet another impressive range of new curved TV and home entertainment products.
At the 2014 Samsung European Forum held in Malaga, Spain on Monday, the electronics giant launched the world’s first and largest Curved UHD TV and announced a full line-up of curved and UHD TVs. The company also announced Netflix 4K streaming service.
Head of TV and AV at Samsung Electronic UK & Ireland, Guy Kinnell, said at the conference: “UK and Ireland are driving UHD trends at a very rapid pace-one of the reasons we’re so excited to bring Samsung’s ultimate immersive experience with our new lineup of UHD TVs to UK and Irish consumers.”
“These new TVs, together with our innovative new audio products, truly take the home entertainment experience to the next level.”
Samsung’s new line of curved UHD TVs will be a perfect combination of the company’s innovative curved form factor and its UHD TV technology. The blend of the curve and UHD technology will offer an ultimate immersive viewing experience to the viewers, bringing images to life with spectacular colour, clarity and detail.
Curved UHD TVs in 105-inches, 78-inches, 65-inches and 55-inches will be made available in Europe.
Samsung’s new UHD TV range will come with the latest UHD TV standards-including HEVC, HDMI 2.0, MHL 3.0 and HDCP 2.2-offering a holistic UHD. Samsung through its three UHD TV series – S9, U8500 and U7500 will offer a full line-up of UHD TV models in sizes from 48-inches up to tremendous 110-inches.
Samsung expects selling 1 million curved UHD TV units in 2014, and around 3.3 million by the end of 2017.
