We have been coming across rumours of a metal-body Samsung Galaxy S5 since about six months now and the latest report from ETNews is no different.
The Korean publication is reporting that Samsung will indeed encase its Galaxy S5 in a metal body to give it a more high-end look and break away from the plastic-body stereotype that the company has garnered over the years.
One of the main reasons behind the delay in releasing a metal-encased smartphone, as reports indicate, is that Samsung was having trouble manufacturing a metal smartphone while keeping its removable battery feature intact.
Reports even indicate that Samsung will out two not one metal encased smartphone – a Galaxy F series smartphone and the Galaxy S5. Earlier reports from the same publication claimed that the Galaxy F handset has been designed in Europe and is already in production in Vietnam. It is also rumoured that Samsung has started mass production of S5’s QHD AMOLED display.
The specifications that have been touted for Galaxy F have also surfaced for S5. If that is the case, it doesn’t really make sense to launch two smartphones with the same specification and that too with the same outer body finish.
