We are yet to get our hands on the recently announced Galaxy S5, but Samsung is leaving behind a trail indicating that Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is already in the works and under testing in India.
Samsung is most likely to follow its tradition of Mini devices and it won’t be too risky to put our bets on a second quarter release of the S5 Mini. The reason we peg a second quarter launch of the S5 Mini is because we have spotted a mysterious phone with model number SM-G870 on Indian import site Zauba.
The South Korean electronics giant waited two months after launching Galaxy S4 to unveil its S4 Mini and we expect the company to do the same this time around. With information very sparse on the specifications of the Galaxy S5 Mini, we anticipate that pricing of the smartphone will be in line with last year’s S4 and S4 Mini scenario.
We expect the Galaxy S5 Mini to be powered by either a Snapdragon or Exynos SoC, a super AMOLED display and Android 4.4 KitKat.
