Samsung China has listed the yet to be publicly announced Galaxy Mega Plus on its website – seemingly a refresh of the Galaxy Mega 5.8 released last year.
Powered by an undisclosed 1.2GHz quad-core processor, the Galaxy Mega Plus features 5.8-inch TFT screen with qHD 540 x 960p resolution, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front facing one, microSD card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 2600mAh battery.
The official listing doesn’t mention the amount of RAM in the smartphone, but chances are that the Galaxy Mega Plus may pack somewhere between 1GB and 2GB RAM. The smartphone supports dual-SIMs with dual-standby capability.
There are a few software enhancements as well including Multi Window, Popup Play, Group Play, Story Album, and S Translator among other things.
Considering that the listing is only on Samsung China’s website, the handset might not see light of the day in other regions specifically in the developed markets. We assume that the dual-SIM capability has been incorporated keeping in mind the popularity of the feature in emerging markets like India and China.
