Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has finally hit Thailand shores as the device has been listed on the smartphone maker’s official Thailand site.
After going on sale in Malaysia for MYR 1, 299, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 has now been officially listed on Samsung’s Thailand site without any details of pricing and availability.
Powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 successor features a 6-inch Super AMOLDE HD resolution screen that offers a lower pixel density of 245ppi, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.
There is an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera onboard. On the connectivity front, the Galaxy Mega 2 offers LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS, Glonass, NFC, and Bluetooth options. The phone runs on the latest Android KitKat 4.4. It’s still unclear if Samsung will introduce Android L to it when it gets launched.
The device boasts dimensions of 163.6×84.9×8.6mm. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 will come pre-loaded with the usual TouchWiz software enhancements like Ultra Power Saving mode, Multi-window, and more. The handset will be made available in two colour options- “Cosmic Black” and “Blizzard White.”
While the Galaxy Mega 2 has gone on sale in Thailand and Malaysia, there is currently no word on when it will ship to UK.
