Samsung has announced two onyx-black variants of its Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 Mini smartphones and has named them unimaginatively ‘Black Edition’.
The new smartphones are exact equivalent of their regular counterparts except for the black faux leather back cover.
The Galaxy S4 Black Edition is powered by 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC, 5-inch full-HD screen, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi, LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, DLNA and a 2,600 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition similarly on the other hand is powered by 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, microSD slot and a 1,900 mAh battery.
The smartphone duo will be available in Russia starting next month, but Samsung hasn’t provided any details about international availability. The Galaxy S4 Black Edition will cost $600, while the S4 Mini Black will carry a price tag of $460.
