So there it is finally right from Konami directly – PES 2016 is not 1080p on Xbox One – a hope that spawned excitement among gamers across the world.
The rumours of the game being native 1080p on Xbox One started circulating the web a few months back. Many even started speculating that Metal Gear Solid 5, which is built on PES engine, will also be native 1080p on Xbox One. However, those hopes may have been dashed as well.
The confirmation comes from Konami’s Adam Bhatti who explained in a tweet that they had to keep the resolution on Xbox One just shy of native 1080p to keep FPS and game quality high. This said, the resolution on which the game will run on Xbox One is 1360 x 1080p. PES 2016 on PS4 will run on full-fledged 1,980 x 1,080p.
As far as older consoles are concerned, on PS3 and Xbox 360 PES 2016 will run at 1280 x 720.
Bhatti stressed that users will not be able to tell the difference despite the change in resolution. He provided a link to the demo asking users to check for themselves. However, when it comes to gamers, if they have been told that the game isn’t 1080p, they tend not to look for graphical issues considering they already have it their minds that the game isn’t running on native 1080p.
There have been some reviews about the game and from the overall perspective, the game does seem to impress – specifically the gameplay bit. For those eagerly waiting, PES 2016 will be release on September 15 for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
OHHHHHHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!
