Right Sector – the right-wing protesters and illegally armed militia in Ukraine – which is dubbed as the key behind ousting of former president Viktor Yanukovych are reportedly using an app by the same name to co-ordinate their tactics and donate to the cause.
The Right Sector app is already available for Android devices on Google Play since a week now and according to reports an iOS version is in pipeline.
Some of the features of the app include chatting with other app users anonymously; data storage for limited number of hours (five hours in this case); and donations among other things.
Ivan Panchenko, the creator of the app, has denied any involvement with the movement. Currently Panchenko has created the app with Russian language support only, but he is planning an English version of the app as well.
