PlayStation 4 is now available at one of India’s major online retailer – Flipkart.com – days before other online retailers will start offering it.
PlayStation 4 was one of the most highly-awaited consoles this year in India and fans were seen flocking social networking platforms asking about the official release dates of PS4. Amazon.in is still not showing the console as available and shows that the console will be in stock starting January 8.
Sony has been a huge hit in all the countries where it has been launched and has clocked sales in tune of 2.1 million units globally (data uptil November end). The PlayStation 4 sold over 166K units more than the Xbox One in the UK and analysts predict that the console will surpass Wii U’s global sales by May this year.
With a AMD branded custom CPU and 8GB GDDR5 RAM, the PlayStation 4 has found more takers than its competitor Xbox One. DualShock 4 has been upgraded to include a touch pad, motion control and a share button. Sony claims that the new hardware will thrive amidst a new software ecosystem and will lead to creation of “the fastest, most powerful gaming network.”
