Ouya, on Monday, unveiled its limited edition white console with additional storage feature.
The gaming console, which is identical to the $100 grey-and-black Kickstarter console, will cost $129 and feature 16GB of internal flash storage. Users will have to pay $30 more than the original 8GB black-and-grey version for the new white colored console.
The new and updated white colored Android-based Ouya will retain its square shape and will be powered by quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, 1GB of RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and single USB 2.0 port. The package will include one white Ouya game console, one wireless controller (in a matching finish), one HDMI cable, two AA batteries, and one power adapter.
Gamers can preorder the white console online till December 8, but it limited to North America for now. Ouya is promising delivery by 25 of the same month. However, Ouya is yet to say anything about how many consoles it will be producing and for how long they will be made available for sale.
The company raised a whopping $8.6 million in its initial Kickstarter campaign and started shipping units to its initial backers in March this year. Ouya plans to release a system update targeting the user interface of the console by the end of November.
