Satya Nadella is holding a press briefing webcast today at 10 AM PST [18:00 GMT] where he is expected to unveil Office for iPad and Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS).
Microsoft hasn’t detailed any specifics about the agenda of the press briefing except that Nadella will be discussing on things “focused on the intersection of cloud and mobile computing”.
According to reports, Microsoft is expected to launch the highly anticipated Office for iPad which is likely to feature Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. In terms of functionality Office for iPad will be similar to that of the iPhone version where users will be required to have an Office 365 subscription for editing and storing documents.
It is also believed that Nadella will spill the beans on Microsoft’s relatively new Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS) – a solution for enterprise customers to enable them centrally manage mobile devices including and not limited to Android smartphones and tablets, Apple iPhones and iPads and Window devices.
