NullCon 2014 started off today at the Bogmallo Beach Resort, Goa with a speaker line-up comprising of some of the best known speakers in the information security world including Amit Sharma, Joint Director DRDO; Valdimir Katalov, CEO and Founder of ElcomSoft; Andy Davis, Research Director at NCC Group; Gregory Pickett, an intrusion analyst for fortune 100 companies; and Michael Eddignton, CTO Déjà vu Security.
Aseem Jakhar, founder of NullCon, welcomed the delegates to the event spread out over the course of two days with over 20 security talks covering a range of topics including Information warfare, Fuzzing, Smartphone Forensics, Privacy, Chrome Security, and Pen-Testing.
This year’s NullCon is the fifth edition of the international security conference and apparently ‘Lord Darth Wader’ along with one of personal bodyguard of the Clone army was also present to ‘secure their information’. This year was the first time when the event seats were completely sold out a week before the event.
Jeff Moss, Founder of Black Hat & Defcon and VP & CSO of ICANN was to deliver keynote on day 1, but due to some visa issues he wasn’t able to make it to the conference.
