Nokia unveiled a range of smartphones at MWC 2014 (read Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain and one that makes headlines is the Asha 220 – cheapest Asha till date.
For as little as £24 ($39, €29), you could get an internet ready phone with a 2.4-inch color screen, 2-megapixel rear camera, microSD card slot, micro USB port, and Bluetooth 2.1.
Apps wise, the Asha 220 comes preloaded with Nokia Xpress browser with Microsoft’s Bing search engine, Facebook, Twitter, Six Gameloft titles, built-in MP3 player, video player, and FM radio.
Asha 220 comes with a battery that offers 13 hours of talk time or up to 51 hours of media playback. If you opt for a dual-SIM variant, you will have 24 days of stand-by time while the single-SIM variant will offer nearly a month worth of stand-by time.
Nokia also announced a little dearer Asha 230 that will set your pocket back by £37 ($62, €45), but will offer you better display and standby time as well as greater apps support.
