Nokia has revealed that its Nokia X smartphone has garnered 1 million pre-orders in China in just 4 days.
The Finnish company’s first Android-running smartphone was launched at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014, but it didn’t garner rave reviews considering the low level hardware it used in its three smartphones in contrast to high-end offerings that eager fans were waiting for.
Nokia announced its latest pre-order numbers for China through a post on its official Weibo account. There are still 10 days to go before Nokia X hits store shelves and many more are expected to order the smartphones.
Nokia X is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Play processor clocked at 1GHz, 4.0-inch IPS LCD display with 480 x 800 resolution, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card, a 3.15-megapixel rear camera, and 1,500 mAh battery among other things.
